Pakbeng is the halfway point on the Mekong River between Huay Xai and Luang Prabang. It remains a popular transport route, and Pakbeng is flourishing.

Nong Khai ,one of Thailand's northeastern border provinces, is located on the right bank of the Mekhong River, is a true gateway to Indochina with the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge stretching to Laos.
Vientiane, capital of Laos is Asia's biggest village. Busy and hectic in comparison to the rest of the country.

DAY 1 Chiang Khong – Ban Huay Sai – Pak Beng (L,D)
Take the early morning ferry at approximately08.00 across the Mekhong River to Ban Huay Sai where clients will be met by our local representative. Embark on a full-day boat trip down the Mekong River to Pak Beng, visit Lao Theung and H’Mong villages along the way. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 2 Pak Beng – Luang Prabang (B,L,D)
Continue by boat to Luang Prabang, stopping on the way at the holy caves of Pak-Ou and the pottery and rice wine-making village of Ban Sanghai. Arrive in Luang Prabang early afternoon and transfer to hotel. The rest of the day at leisure.Overnight at hotel.

DAY 3 Luang Prabang (B,L,D)
In the morning take a tour of the city to visit Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Wisunarat, Wat Mai and Wat Phouthabath. In the afternoon visit the Thai Lu weaving village of Ban Phanom and then view the sunset from Phousi Hill. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 4 Luang Prabang Vientiane (B,L,D)
In the morning visit the National Museum, housed in the former Royal Palace, and the local market. After lunch transfer to the airport for the afternoon flight to Vientiane, flying time approximately 40 minutes. Arrive and transfer to hotel. The rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel

DAY 5 Vientiane (B,L,D)
Full day sightseeing to visit Wat Pra That Luang, Wat Pra Kaeo, Wat Si Muang, Wat Si Saket and Anousavari (Patuxai). In the afternoon visit the weaving village of Ban Nong Bouathong. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 6 Vientiane – Nong Khai (B)
Morning at leisure for shopping in the local markets. In the afternoon transfer to Mittaphap Bridge and return to Nong Khai prior to the bridge closing at 17.00.
